T and T Auctions Ltd

Sell

Consigning an item or collection to an auction is a straightforward process. Our experts are there to help you get the best results.

How to sell at auction

This is without obligation, and you will never be pressured to make a decision. We will of course need to see the collection being offered and encourage collections to be dropped off at our offices. If this is not possible we can arrange home visits, depending on size of the collection and locatrion, by one of our experts. Please give one of our team a call to discuss the options available.

Consigning your items to auction

Once you have decided to go ahead and consign your collection to our auction, we will get to work describing, photographing and working to present it to the market in the most favourable way by our inhouse design team. Our experts extensive experience at selling at auction, and their knowledge of current market conditions ensures maximum impact for the Vendor.

Becoming a vendor

For first time Vendors our staff are happy to talk through auction valuations, ensuring you are completely confident before consigning Once you have agreed to consign, you will be issued with a unique Vendor Code, and an initial "welcome" email from us, which forms your agreement with us.  A copy of our full T&C's are at the back of the catalogue and also on our website.

All Vendors are subject to 18% + VAT Sellers Commission, which is deduced from the final proceeds we bank transfer over to you at the end of the process.

What happens next?

Once we have taken your item/s into our care, they are fully insured by us, and will be catalogued, processed and stored safely, ready for our auction.

All lots are carefully recorded by our team of professional and will be viewable on our website. Photographs of many lots will appear in our glossy catalogue and all lots are illustrated online on our website.

Before the auction

Unless there is a specific reason for correspondence, you won't hear from us until about two weeks before the auction. You will receive a copy of our full colour catalogue and a list of your consigned items, with their lot numbers, estimates, reserves and the breakdown of auction fees. Reading through the T&C at the back will answer any questions about the sale you may still have.

Be there on the day

Selling at auction is exciting and fun, so you are very welcome to join us to watch and enjoy the sale online with Easylive. We offer any remaining lots in our Unsold auction, which starts a week after the live sale and runs for about 10 days. The reserves are reduced by 10% and the buyers are offered a reduce premium which encourages bidding. We encourage our vendors to allow this week to take place before calling us to find out the results.
